With multiple Serengeti nights, you get the advantage of depth—rather than one “quick” Serengeti visit, you can explore different zones and wait for the right moments. This day is intentionally flexible and shaped by season and sightings. If the Great Migration is in a reachable area, your guide can focus on the best herds and crossing points available. If not, the emphasis shifts to resident wildlife: lions, cheetah, leopard, hyena, and the constant drama around water and hunting.
You may choose an early start again, or a slightly later departure if you prefer a slower pace Serengeti rewards both, and your guide will recommend what makes the most sense based on weather and wildlife movement. Expect time around river lines, kopjes, and open plains, with plenty of opportunities to photograph interactions between predators and prey.
Lunch is a picnic in the park (or a stop at camp if you prefer a longer midday break), then you continue into the afternoon. Often, the best sightings happen when you least expect them—a leopard in a tree, a coalition of cheetahs scanning the grass, or elephants crossing quietly at dusk.
If you’d like an optional Serengeti balloon safari, this is the best section of the itinerary to place it (availability dependent). We can organize it as an add-on with early pickup and a bush breakfast after landing.
